" Working in the corporate world for 20 years as a Graphic Designer my time for painting and doing what I loved was diminished. When I left the corporate environment I decided to start my own business, Paradise Studio, which is a combination of several creative areas including graphic design, and custom portraits of people and animals."
Marjorie's favorite subjects are people and pets. " Capturing the expressions and personality of the person or animal is very rewarding to me. I put my heart and personal touch into each painting. A good portrait is more than a likeness. It captures that special moment and creates a treasured piece of artwork that they will cherish for a lifetime."
" I like to work in several mediums such as oil, pastel, watercolor and colored pencil combination. Oil will always be my first love."
Previously she has shown work at JR Studio in Branchville, New Jersey, Morris County Art Association, Morris County College, Monclair Art Museum, Bloomfield Civic Center, Nutley Art Center, Barn Theatre in Montville. Port Jervis Artswalk, and the Gaelen Gallery Seventh Annual Juried 2006 Art Show, which won best in oil in show. In 2008 had a solo showing at the Gaelen Gallery, Whippany,NJ .
